The 2013 Dew Tour kicked-off this past weekend in Ocean City, MD and the Stride brand was out in full force. Over the course of the 5-day event, thousands of consumers made their way to the Stride Experience where they were able to watch slacklining competitions and actually tryout the sport themselves. Slacklining has been taking the world by storm and Stride brought it to the beach again this year, once again making it the focal point of the sponsor village. With a little encouragement from Stride, consumers stepped-out of their comfort zone to test their balance and athletic skills while trying to traverse the 2-inch wide slackline. Also, throughout the day, the pro-slackliners from Gibbons Slackline put on shows for the crowd and held a Stride Slackline Jam with championship slackliners from all over the world. Everyone who tried the slackline got their photo taken and immediately emailed off to them so they could share it with friends via social media.

Plus, Stride brought their new iOS app, Gumulon, to the Stride pod for people to play. It’s the first every chew-activated game. By using one of the iPads at the gaming area, people could chew stride as they faced the iPad to move Ace, the game character, through the world of Gumulon and escape getting eaten by the monster. And as if that wasn’t enough, it was almost impossible to find someone who wasn’t chewing Stride because of the thousands of samples we handed-out around the Dew Tour venue.
